Mason Jars. At first a symbol of functionality, used by millions of Americans for caning purposes. As its fame grew - thanks in part to an evolution in lifestyle among Americans, who shifted from buying pre-made, packaged foods to relying on homemade products - the mason jar became ubiquitous in people’s homes. Despite a slight decrease in popularity in the 50s and 60s, today, it seems they are present everywhere. The jar has become synonymous with hipster trends and its image is heavily exploited by advertisement campaigns. We all love the humble mason jar.
Nevertheless, at its essence, it remains a symbol for the american way of life. It is practical, simple, nostalgic.
